Patricia Azeh
Massage therapist uses touch to promote healing, relaxation
Patricia Azeh, Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) and AMTA member, is currently providing massage therapy services through the Vida Therapy Massage Center, 2505 N Mayfair Rd in Wauwatosa.
Azeh was born and raised in Brazil, Sao Paulo and has resided in Milwaukee for over 6 years. A graduated from Lakeside School of Massage Therapy in December 2011, an 800 hour state accredited program, Azeh?s massage styles range from stress reduction, relaxation massage to sports massage. She is also a certified in Infant Massage Instructor and teaches parents how to massage their infant and Pediatric Massage. The classes focus on wellness benefits of touch therapy and health.
?My mission is to support individuals in achieving life balance through personal wellness,? she said. ?I strongly believe in the connection body/mind and how relieving physical as well emotional stress and massage is a viable modality for enhancing health and well-being.?
Prior to becoming a massage therapist, Azeh worked in many places as a seamstress, hairdresser, nanny, home care and many others. While living in Brazil she worked for an accounting company. It wasn?t until moving to Milwaukee that she decided to go to school to study in the health field.
After marrying and giving birth to two boys, she elected to change her career focus from nursing to massage therapy. ?I can honestly say that I made the best choice of all my life,? Azeh said. ?I love being a massage therapist and have the opportunity to meet many people, helping them to better cope with their stress problems through the use of positive massage touch.?
Azeh intends to continue to expand her knowledge, experience and expertise in bodywork and attend as many workshops and classes as often as possible to enhance her skills to better serve her clients. ?I believe that all of us are in need of a more positive touch in our lives.
As our lives become ever more rushed and pressured, we find fewer and fewer opportunities for actual physical activities and contact with other people,? she said.
Adding: ? On the clinical side, massage has been shown to increase circulation, improve respiration, ease digestion, and facilitate recovery from muscular injury and soreness. It relaxes the body and mind and calms the spirit.?
Azeh is a firm believer that massage eases people into a slower way of life, where we can lie on a warm table with gentle music and calming hands to work out life?s stresses, while promoting healing and relaxation.
